Purchase information

Purchase terms

OldWordsNewEyes publishes and sells Zhuangzi in Context. For purchase support, corrections and consumer-rights requests, write to [email protected]. These terms were updated on 8 October 2026.

Your edition 1 purchase

The package contains the six-reading PDF, a reflowable EPUB, a printable reflection companion and opening instructions. It is a one-time US$19 digital purchase before applicable tax. The checkout shows the final total before payment. There is no subscription. Future books, personal consulting and new editions are not included.

This is a guided introduction to six selected Zhuangzi passages, not a translation of the complete work or a promise of personal transformation. Chapter references, source notes and AI-assisted editorial methods are disclosed in the edition and on our approach page. Read the complete free first lesson before deciding whether the reader suits you.

Payment and delivery

Payhip provides checkout, receipts and access to the paid files. Stripe processes payment through the connected seller account. Payhip's platform terms and applicable reseller arrangements also govern its services. Once your order completes, Payhip provides a download page and emails a receipt with an access link. Keep the receipt and save your files locally. You do not need an account on oldwordsneweyes.com.

For missing access or damaged files, contact support with the order reference and checkout email. Check spam or promotions folders if a receipt is missing. Never send passwords, card numbers or bank details. The PDFs open in a compatible PDF reader and the EPUB in a compatible reading app; display can vary with app and device settings.

Personal use

The paid files are licensed for your personal reading and printing. They may not be resold or publicly redistributed, and you must not present the publication as your own work. You may link to the publicly available free lesson. Your notes and reading answers stay in your own files; they are not submitted to the publication.

Refunds and consumer rights

We do not offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds after the digital files have been downloaded. The complete free lesson and product description are available before purchase to help you decide.

If files are missing, damaged, materially different from the description, or you have been charged twice, contact support with your order reference. We will investigate and provide the correction, replacement, refund or other remedy required in the circumstances. This policy does not exclude or limit any applicable statutory consumer rights.

Where a statutory cooling-off right applies, it is separate from our discretionary policy. For example, eligible EU consumers generally have 14 days from concluding the contract to withdraw. The digital-content exception can end that right once supply begins if you first expressly consented to immediate supply, acknowledged the resulting loss of that right and received the required confirmation. We do not treat downloading alone, or a generic agreement to terms, as proof that those conditions were met. Faulty-content rights remain protected. Notify support of any withdrawal or other consumer-rights request with information identifying the order.

Refunds that are due are processed through the original payment provider. Bank and provider processing times apply. Payhip may revoke access to its download page after a refund; files already saved cannot be remotely erased.

Corrections and changes

Corrections to edition 1 will be made available through the purchase provider. No indefinite hosting uptime or access to future publications is promised. Keep a local copy of the files you purchased. Updated website terms do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an earlier order. Mandatory consumer protections remain in force.
